Role and Responsibility
The President is the constitutional guardian and moral custodian of Sramik.org. This role exists to protect the platform’s founding principles, not to exercise unilateral authority.
Key Responsibilities
Uphold the Constitution of Bangladesh as the supreme guiding framework of Sramik.org . Safeguard the platform’s non-political, non-violent, and worker-centric character. Represent Sramik.org in civic, constitutional, and public-interest forums. Ensure that all organisational actions remain lawful, ethical, and rights-based. Act as the final ethical reference point in cases of internal dispute or deviation from principles.
Limitations of Authority
The President shall not exercise executive control over daily operations. The President shall not affiliate the platform with any political party or agenda. All actions are subject to organisational rules and collective oversight.
Nature of the Role
Symbolic, constitutional, and supervisory. Not executive or coercive.
Secretary General
Role and Responsibility
The General Secretary is the primary administrative and organisational coordinator of Sramik.org. This role translates principles into lawful, practical action.
Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day organisational operations in line with approved policies. Coordinate communication between workers, representatives, and leadership. Maintain records, documentation, and organisational transparency. Ensure that decisions are implemented democratically and within constitutional limits. Facilitate lawful, peaceful, and inclusive worker participation
Accountability :Fully accountable to the membership and governing body. Subject to review, questioning, and removal through democratic procedures.
Restrictions: Shall not exercise personal or political influence. Shall not engage in or permit violence, intimidation, or partisan activity.
Nature of the Role: Executive-administrative, not political. Service-oriented and accountable.
Shared Principles for All Leadership Positions
All office bearers of Sramik.org must adhere to the following: Must be genuine workers or have demonstrable, long-term engagement with workers’ realities. Must remain strictly non-political and non-partisan. Must operate with full transparency and accountability. Must accept term limits and democratic review. Must prioritise workers’ dignity, safety, and constitutional rights over personal authority.

Vice President
Role and Responsibility
The Vice President serves as a supporting constitutional authority, ensuring continuity, balance, and institutional stability.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the President in upholding constitutional and ethical standards. Assume presidential duties in the President’s absence, strictly within defined limits. Monitor internal governance to prevent politicisation, abuse of authority, or mission drift. Support coordination between leadership and worker representatives.
Safeguarding Role
Act as an internal check to ensure leadership remains accountable. Raise concerns where transparency, neutrality, or worker interests are at risk.
Nature of the Role: Supportive and stabilising, Oversight-oriented, not operationally dominant.
